The Cluster of Excellence Cross-Cultural Philology attaches great importance to supporting young researchers in all philological disciplines represented within the project and in all phases of their academic careers. With seed funding opportunities, the support covers all important qualification phases of a scientific career – from graduation to doctoral studies to the postdoctoral phase.
In order to ensure excellent research by young researchers, a productive and inclusive working environment is created within the cluster. For example, there is the option of spending a semester abroad during the seven-semester doctoral program.
When postdoctoral projects are integrated into the Cluster of Excellence, researchers benefit from the extensive and integrative structure that focuses on professional development and involves collaboration with PIs across disciplinary boundaries.
